HAROLD LANCASTER

PIKEVILLE -- Harold Lancaster, 90, Airport Road, passed away this morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Harold was born in Wayne County Nov. 25, 1922, to the late Lonnie and Henrietta Pate Lancaster. He was married to the late Margaret Grice Lancaster.
Harold was a longtime farmer in the Pikeville community, and had worked for 10 years with DuPont.
He was a member of Mount Carmel United Methodist Church.
For those who knew him, Harold will be remembered by his many stories and conversations, quick wit and his smile.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at Seymour Funeral Home from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. in the chapel, with the Rev. David Hollowell officiating. Entombment will be in Pikeville Cemetery.
Harold is survived by his son, Wayne Lancaster and wife, Vicky, of Pikeville; sister, Gaye Hare and husband, Ray, of Pikeville; grandchildren, Eric Lancaster and wife, Vicky, and Jonna Sweet and husband, Michael; and great-grandchildren, Alli and Morgan Lancaster.
He is also survived by a special friend, Aleane Bedford of Goldsboro.
