WILBERT OSCAR HOLLOWELL

PINKNEY -- Wilbert Oscar Hollowell, 75, Pinkney, went to be with his Lord and savior Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012.
Homegoing services will be held Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Kenly Apostolic Church, where he attended. Interment will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.
Mr. Hollowell was born July 12, 1937 to the late Armon Gabriel and Verlie Wiggs Hollowell.
He is survived by his loving wife, Edna Phillips Hollowell; a son, Billy Hollowell and wife, Wendy, of Creedmoor; three daughters, Debbie Blackman of Georgia, Rhonda Penzer and husband, Lewis, of Pinkney and Rose Gries and husband, Gary, of Delaware; a brother, Willie Hollowell of Pikeville; five sisters, Judy Taylor of Pikeville, Loraine Grice and husband, Bill, of Pinkney, Cornellia Edwards of Charlotte, Ophelia Howell of Pikeville and Nellie Burgess and husband, Curtis, of Pikeville; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Hollowell was preceded in death by a son, Frankie Hollowell.
The family will receive friends this evening (Thursday) from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Kenly Apostlic Church.
