GREENSBORO -- Mr. Michael LaVenskey Simmons, 47, formerly of Goldsboro, peacefully transitioned to his heavenly home Monday at his residence in Greensboro.
He was the son of James "Little Bud" Simmons and the late Miriam Thompson Simmons.
Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at Oak Ridge First Baptist Church in Oak Ridge. Burial will be 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at Old Mill Cemetery in Goldsboro.
