DUDLEY -- Charles Edward Garten, 63, died at home Monday surrounded by his family.
A memorial service will be Oct. 13 at First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Mount Olive at 11 a.m., with pastor Doug Bartlett and pastor Glenn Mills officiating.
He was the son of the late Herman and Edith Arthur Garten, and the husband of Roy Ann Garten.
He is survived by three children.
Visitation will follow the service.
Arrangements are by Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
