KINSTON -- Elwood "Gramps" Basden, 90, 373 N.C. 11 South, died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, officiated by Ronnie Basden. Burial will be held at Maplewood Cemetery in Calypso.
He is survived by a daughter, Glisda Gay Basden of Kinston; a son, Elwood Glen "Woody" Basden of Kinston; a brother, Pat Basden and wife, Mildred, of Kinston; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and his beloved dog, Princess.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at Pink Hill Funeral Home.
