Retired Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Mark J. Colby, 49, died Wednesday night at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Private services will be held at a later date.
He was born in Bow, N.H., to Constance Smart Colby and the late Halstead Colby, and was married to Shirley Roberson Colby.
Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and Crematory of Goldsboro is handling the arrangements.
