MOUNT OLIVE -- Ruth M. Jones Beasley, 95, died Friday morning at Mount Olive Care and Rehab Center.
Funeral services will be held today at 6 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive, with the Rev. James Hairr and the Rev. Kevin Jean officiating. Visitation will take place immediately following the service and at other times at the home of her son, Warren in the Beautancus community. Burial will be held on Monday, at 11 in the morning at Maplewood Cemetery in Mount Olive.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Moore, of Mount Olive; her son, Warren Jones and his wife, Wilma, of Mount Olive; a stepdaughter, Fannie Lou Whitfield of Mount Olive; two step-sons, Kenneth Beasley of Sneads Ferry and Marshal Beasley of Mount Olive. Ms. Ruth is also survived by five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John Henry Millard, and Lou Catherine Fulghum; and her husband, Willie C. Beasley, and former husband, Henry C. Jones; a son, Royce Jones; and a grandson, Michael Richard Ward. Ms. Ruth was the last of 12 children.
