LaGRANGE -- Bonnie Allene Vause Corbin, 88, of LaGrange, passed away Friday, June 8, 2012.
A service of remembrance will be held Monday, June 11, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Rouse Funeral Home with the Rev. Janet Balasko officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Mrs. Corbin was born June 11, 1923, in Lenoir County to the late Carl and Bonnie Sutton Vause. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Frederick Corbin. Mrs. Corbin graduated from East Carolina Teachers College with a degree in home economics and was a retired civil service employee. Allene was a member of LaGrange United Methodist Church, LaGrange Garden Club and enjoyed playing Bridge.
Mrs. Corbin is survived by a son, Robert Frederick Corbin II and wife, Phyllis, of LaGrange; two grandchildren, Marty May of Hugo, Jeff May and wife, Sara, of LaGrange; two great-grandchildren, Ethan and Gavin May; brother, Jim Vause and wife, Ann, of Dortches; special cousin, Cora Creech of LaGrange; special family friends, Kirk and Nannette Jones of Kinston; her caregiver, Brenda Hartley; along with many nieces and nephews.
