Peggy Jean Wiggs Vernatt, 69, died Monday evening at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A graveside service will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery.
She was the daughter of the late Alice Hinnant Wiggs.
She is survived by four children.
Visitation will follow the service at the cemetery.
Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the Vernatt family.
