BUREN HART

LAGRANGE -- Ray Buren Hart, 80, LaGrange, passed away Monday, March 12, 2012.
Buren was born June 17, 1931, in Greene County to the late Raymond E. Hart and Mary Gay Hart.
Buren was preceded in death by his first wife, Rose Wiggins Hart.
He was a lifelong farmer, who took great pride in seeing things grow.
Buren was a member of Free Gospel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, and was treasurer of his Sunday school class for 16 years.
He enjoyed tending to his cows, NASCAR and, most of all, cherished time spent with his family.
A service of remembrance will be held Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at 7 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home, with the Rev. Terry Heath officiating. Interment will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery.
Buren is survived by his wife, Betty Ginn Hart; three children, Jennifer Foyles and husband, Nicky, of LaGrange, Wanda Hart of Kinston and Ray Hart of LaGrange; five grandchildren, Kent Foyles, Nicole Foyles, Raye Lynn Hart, Macon Hart and Lola Hart; two stepchildren, John James Wiggins and wife, Jill, of LaGrange and Michelle Pate of Snow Hill; seven stepgrandchildren, Ty, Allison, James, Ryan, David, Luke and Aaron; two brothers, Wayne Hart and wife, Sarah, of Lakeland, Fla., and Dewey Hart and wife, Margaret, of Hookerton; two sisters, Lucy Hart Hill of Hookerton and Valeria Head Smith of Snow Hill; three special sisters-in-law, Judy Anderson, Kathy Hill and Linda Smith; along with a special nephew, David Wiggins of Snow Hill.
Buren was preceded in death by six siblings, Doris Moore, Edna Frazier, Cleo Crest, Virgil Hart, Raymond Hart Jr. and Celia Wade.
The family will receive friends Wednesday following the service, and at other times will be at the home of Ray Hart, 2737 Raye Lynn Drive, LaGrange.
