ELIZABETH LAMB JUDGE JONES

Elizabeth "Liz" Lamb Judge Jones , 76, passed away peacefully Friday, March 2, 2012.

A service to celebrate her life will be 7 p.m. Monday at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Bill Garner officiating. Interment will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Town of Stantonsburg Cemetery.

A native of Duplin County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Player and Mildred Robinson Judge and the widow of R. Donald Jones. Liz was a retired English and business teacher and media specialist with the Wayne County Public School System. She served at Fremont, Eureka, Charles B. Aycock High School, Wayne Country Day School, and retired as media specialist at Eastern Wayne High School. The love of Liz's life was the well-being of her family and the enjoyment she had spending time with her husband, family, friends, and going to the beach.

Surviving is her daughter, Lisa Pate and husband, Randy, of Fremont; sons, Randy Jones and wife, Sharon, of Princeton and Don Jones Jr. and wife, Michele, of Knightdale; grandchildren, Ryne and Caroline Pate, Brandon Jones, Brittany Jones McLamb and husband, Jared, and Taylor and Lauren Jones; sisters, Kitty Vaughan and husband, Larry, of Jackson, and Edna Earl Caputo of Springfield, Va.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Norwood Earl Judge.

Flowers are welcomed and memorials may be made to Relay For Life c/o Randy Jones, P.O. Box 802, Princeton, N.C. 27569.

The family will receive friends following the service and will be at the family residence at other times.
