Lois Marion Carr, 69, passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2012.

A private visitation for all family members will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, at Seymour Funeral Home. The graveside service and interment will follow at Wayne Memorial Park at 3:30 p.m. The visitation and graveside service are for immediate and extended family members only.

Family and friends will be received at the home of Bryan and Tracy Vanderpool Tuesday between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m.

Marion was born in Wayne County, Sept. 28, 1942, to the late Livius Marion "Pete" Carr and Lois Sewell Carr.

Marion is survived by her husband, Phillip Puhl of Saint Augustine, Fla.; her daughters, Kelly Dees Denny of Victorville, Calif.,Tracy Dees Vanderpool of Goldsboro and Billie Dees Pierce of Buford, Ga.; her grandchildren, Jessica Leigh Vanderpool, Taylor Vanderpool and Zachary DeBlase, Ezekiel DeBlase and Christopher Pierce, Lauren Pierce, William Pierce; and her brother, Steve Carr and fiancée Tammy Weimer of Goldsboro; her nephews, Steven Carr Jr. and Matthew Carr of Goldsboro; and her nieces, Samantha Marion Carr and Jade Hammett.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Robert "Bob" Carr.

Marion was a beautiful person with a beautiful spirit. She worked at Century 21 Dees and Tyndall Realtors as Relocation Coordinator. She spent most of her time as a devoted wife and mother.

In later years, as her parents grew older, she was a devoted daughter helping her parents. Marion was giving and full of love for her family. Marion will be loved and missed by all who knew her. We all love Marion and while our hearts are saddened by her passing, it makes our hearts soar to know that she is finally at peace.

Marion was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
