JACQUELINE E. ISLER

Jacqueline E. Isler, affectionately known as "Jacqui," 64, passed away peacefully Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012.

Jacqui was the daughter of the late Mr. Leslie M. Isler Sr. and the late Mrs. Annie M. Newkirk Isler.

She attended Wayne County public schools, and after graduation with the class of 1965, she attended Fayetteville State University.

Jacqui worked for the state of North Carolina with the division of vocational rehabilitation for approximately 30 years. She later returned to work for Wayne County public schools as a substitute teacher.

Jacqui was a devoted mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister and auntie.

She leaves to cherish great memories her daughter, Michelle Anderson and husband, Tony Anderson, of Knoxville, Tenn.; two loving granddaughters, DeOnna and Kharmon Anderson; a brother, Leslie M. Isler Jr. of Upper Marlboro, Md.; three nieces; two aunts; a host of cousins; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Goldsboro at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012. The Rev. Joe A. Jackson will officiate the service.

Donations may be made to Dilliard Alumuni Scholarship Foundation in memory of Jacqui Isler.
