LAGRANGE -- Panis Kearney Watson, 82, LaGrange, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011.
Mrs. Watson was born Dec. 26, 1929, in Greene County to the late Robert L. Kearney and Eula Corbett Kearney. She was wife of the late LeRoy Watson.
Panis was a member of Jason Presbyterian Church, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Red Hat Society.
She was a devoted farmer's wife and an avid fisherman and most of all, cherished time spent with her family.
A service of remembrance will be held Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, at 7 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home, with Scott Hardy officiating. Interment will be Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, at 10 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery.
Mrs. Watson is survived by three children, Robert LeRoy Watson and wife, Linda, of LaGrange, Iteelia Wall and husband, Carlton, of LaGrange and Calvin David Watson and wife, Winifred, of LaGrange; four grandchildren, Robert Ashley Watson and wife, T.J., of Graham, Allison Paige Ross and husband, Jamie, of LaGrange, David Harper Watson and wife, Addie, of Snow Hill and Jane Loede Watson of LaGrange; five great-grandchildren, Hasten Watson, Harrison Watson, Patrick Ross, Lyndsey Ross and Cole Watson; two sisters, Rose Guevarra and husband, John, of Snow Hill and Lola King and husband, Tom, of Snow Hill.
The family will receive friends Thursday following the service, and at other times will be at the home.
