MOUNT OLIVE -- Dorothy "Priss" Blizzard Martin, 70, retired rural letter carrier with Mount Olive Post Office, native of White Flash/Blizzard's Crossroads section of Duplin County and a 1959 graduate of B.F. Grady High School, died Wednesday in Goldsboro at home.
Preceded in death by her parents, James Earl Blizzard and Essie Taylor Blizzard Hill; her brother, David Earl "Charlie" Blizzard; and an infant son, George Britt Martin Jr.; she is survived by two daughters, Lynn Martin Elmo of Goldsboro and Barbara Martin Musselman and husband, John, of Den Haag, the Netherlands; two grandchildren, Jordan Musselman of Elon College and Marissa Musselman of the Netherlands; and the families of her late brother.
Funeral services for "Priss" will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday at Tyndall Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Geoffrey A. Carter, with burial at 2 p.m. Sunday in Blizzard Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service Saturday.
