Judith Chambers Chapin, 72, passed away Monday, Oct. 17, 2011, at Wake Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
Judith was born in Springfield, Vt., July 25, 1939, to the late Arthur Chambers and Barbara Hunt Chambers.
She enjoyed watching her grandchildren play ball and helping and caring for people.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011, at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with pastor Andy Stovall officiating.
Judith is survived by her husband, David Chapin; her daughter, Melissa Chapin of Clayton; her sons, Jeff Chapin and wife, Dorothy, of Rosewood and Michael Chapin and wife, Bethany, of Clayton; her grandchildren, Ernie Chapin, Christina Chapin, Brian Chapin, Ethan Chapin, Tucker Chapin, Becca Chapin and Jarod Chapin; her stepsons, David Chapin and Ronnie Chapin of New Hampshire; and her special companion, Snickers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Alice Martin; her brothers, Richard Chambers and Gary Chambers; and her stepson, Ralph Chapin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association at P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, Va., 22312.
The family will receive friends following the service, and other times at 203 Friendswood Drive, Goldsboro.
