VIOLET T. METZ

Violet Taylor Metz, 87, died Sunday at Hospice Home of High Point.
She was born in Wayne County to the late Floyd L. Sr. and Flora Alexander Taylor, and was married to the late John H. Metz Sr.
Mrs. Metz was a lifetime member of Goldsboro Friends Meeting, and retired from Wayne Memorial Hospital in 1980.
Graveside services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park, with the Rev. Dr. Glenn Phillips Jr. officiating.
The family will be receiving friends immediately following the service.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John H., Jr. and Sherie Metz; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Harry Kohlenberger; six grandchildren, Cindy Seymour, Emily Isley, Taylor Metz, Jessica Metz, David Seymour and Greg Metz; and two great-grandchildren, Ethan and Gracey Isley.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
