PIKEVILLE -- Jane Matthew Kornegay Mandeville, 70, went to be with her Lord Sunday evening at her home surrounded by her family.

Jane was born in Duplin County March 18, 1941, to the late Issac and Virginia McArthur Kornegay.

Jane's primary goal was the happiness and security of her family. She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

Jane got great pleasure in cooking for her family, but also enjoyed painting pottery.

She was a member of Grace Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church, with the Rev. James Frasher officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

Jane is survived by her husband of 47 years, Paul C. Mandeville Sr.; her sons, Ike Mandeville of Pikeville, Paul Mandeville Jr. and wife, Kerri, of Washington, D.C., Matthew Mandeville and wife, Dawn, of Goldsboro and Macarius "Marc" Mandeville and wife, Frances, of Pikeville; her grandchildren, Kathy, Mallory, Hannah, Wade, Regan and Frank; a stepgrandchild, Jordan Dail; her sister, Geraldine Harvell of Beautancus; and two brothers, Scott Kornegay and Dennis Kornegay of Beautancus.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church, 1715 Royall Ave., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at her home, 510 W. Church St., Pikeville.
