MARGARET HUBER NORRIS

NEW BERN -- Margaret Huber Norris, 92, died Sept. 14, 2011, after a short illness at CarolinaEast Medical Center.
Born in Adams County, Pa., she lived for more than 40 years in New Cumberland, Pa., where she graduated from high school.
She attended Central Pennsylvania Business College, and worked for United Telephone Co. of Pennsylvania, the Civil Service Commission of Pennsylvania and Cumberland County National Bank and Trust Co.
She and her husband moved to Richmond, Va., and Atkinson, N.H., before retiring to New Bern, N.C., where she resided for more than 27 years.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Richard B. Norris, and her son, Dennis R. Norris.
She is survived by her son Father Thomas P. Norris, O.S.F.S, of Goldsboro, N.C., and her sister and brother-in-law, Mary Theresa and Robert Stachovic of Creol Springs, Ill.
She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters of America.
Margaret was a founding member of the New Carolinians of Trent Woods.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, Sept. 19 at 1 p.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, New Bern, N.C., with her son, Father Tom presiding.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary Catholic Church, Goldsboro, N.C., Tuesday, Sept. 20, at 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, New Bern, N.C., or St. Mary Catholic Church, Goldsboro, N.C.
