Gregory Neil Newcomb, 42, 1403 S. Harding St., Goldsboro, died Wednesday, Sept. 7.
He was born March 31, 1969, and was the son of Linda "Patsy" Sauls Newcomb and the late Randolph Newcomb.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ruffie and Gladys Williams Newcomb; his maternal grandparents, Lindbergh and Pearline Capps Sauls; and niece, Lindsey Nicole Matthews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, at Casey Funeral Home, with the Rev. Larry Turlington officiating. Committal service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 12, at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
He is survived by his mother, Patsy Sauls Newcomb of Goldsboro; daughter, Sabra Brown Newcomb of Goldsboro; sister and brother-in-law, Amy Matthews and Jim of Goldsboro; nephew, Alan Matthews; and niece, Amanda Matthews.
The family will receive friends at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, at Casey Funeral Home, and immediately following the service.
