DARREL MAURICE BEST

Darrel Maurice Best entered life Feb. 16, 1990, to proud parents Marvin and Frances Best. He entered eternal life Sept. 4, 2011, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

He attended Wayne County Public Schools and Continued Education at Wayne Community College.

Darrel was a loving, caring and gentle individual.

He loved dogs, and never had a problem taking in a stray. He enjoyed music, hanging out with cousins and friends and playing with the neighborhood kids. He was a wonderful person to have as a friend because he was loyal and dedicated.

He was preceded in death by a sibling, Jeannette Best.

He leaves to cherish his memories his parents, Marvin and Frances Best of the home; two children, Jarrell Best and Tymier Bunch of Goldsboro, N.C.; three brothers, Marvin Best and Willie Best of Goldsboro and Tommy Best of the home; grandparents, Mary Holden Smith Bean and Willie James Bean of Goldsboro, N.C.; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and a special great-aunt, Elnora Gratham.

A visitation will be held Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

A service of remembrance will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Bible Faith Missionary Baptist Church.

Following the services in the sanctuary, Mr. Best's delicate temple, along with his adored family, will be escorted to Old Mill Cemetery for interment rites.

Mr. Best's earthen vessel is peacefully resting at E.M. Matthews Funeral Home, where the Best and connected families are receiving prestigious service.
