A beautiful and precious life has quietly returned to the creator of all things. Karina Ramonia Cooper, daughter of Keith Cooper and Marina Cooper, was born Nov. 19, 1978, in the Philippines, and entered into rest Aug. 24, 2011, at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro, N.C.

She attended Eastern Wayne High School, and pursued her undergraduate study at East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C., where she received a B.A. degree.

She was employed as a social worker with the Wayne County Health Department until her health began to decline.

Karina was a member of World Overcomers Christian Church in Durham, N.C.

She also participated in various community outreach events with Take It By Force Ministries. She loved God and she loved people. She shared God's love wherever she went. Her smile and testimony encouraged many. She loved to shop, always looking for a shoe bargain.

She leaves to celebrate her life her mother, Marina Cooper of Goldsboro; her father, Keith Cooper (Diane) of the home; her maternal grandmother, Pelegia Abanes of the Philippines; her paternal grandparents, Rosa Cooper of Whitakers, N.C., and A.B. Cooper (Bessie) of Richmond, Va.; her siblings, Norberto Cooper (Jocelyn) of Oklahoma, pastor Kelvin Lucas (Felicia) of Wendell, N.C., Kesha Parker of Raleigh, N.C., Angela Stamps of Topeka, Kan., and Keith Cooper Jr. of Greenville, N.C.; two special sisters, Jocelyn Pagaduan and Christy Harris; her aunts and uncles, Lynette Cooper of Whitakers, N.C., Beverly Nettles of Rocky Mount, N.C., Stephanie Nicole Jones (Ronnell) of Clermont, Fla., Terisita Ramos, Josefina Ramos, Rolando Ramos, Demitrio Ramos and Joselito Ramos of the Philippines; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, Aug. 28, 2011, at 3 p.m. at Sheridan Forest Church, with elder Kelvin Lucas officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday, Aug. 28, 2011. from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. at Sheridan Forest Church.
