Joseph Frank Mitchell, 53, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 7, 2011, at his home.
Mr. Mitchell was born in Wayne County on March 23, 1958 to the late Zeb Mitchell and Alberta Barwick Mitchell. He was a loving husband, father and an avid golfer.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Willow Dale Cemetery.
Mr. Mitchell is survived by his wife, Teresa Mitchell; his son, Jonathan Mitchell of Goldsboro; his daughter, Amanda Jo Pejera and husband, R.T. of Elizabeth City; his mother-in-law, Jean Mitchell; his six brothers and two sisters and his loving companion, "Baby."
The family will receive friends at other times at 1415 Higgins St., Goldsboro.
