Joseph "Joe" Whitaker, 86, 312 N. Alabama Ave., died July 21 at home.
A private burial will be held at a later date.
He was born Feb. 3, 1925, to the late Lawyer Whitaker Sr., and Leora Williams in Wayne County.
He is survived by 10 children.
Visitation will be today from noon to 7 p.m. at Rhodes Funeral Home chapel, with the family present from 6 to 7 p.m.
