DEEP RUN -- Mary Ellen Smith "Duck" Harper, 79, 1973 Will Cunningham Road, died Wednesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
The funeral will be Saturday, March 19, 2011, at 3 p.m. at Pink Hill Funeral Home, with the Rev. Josh Whitfield and the Rev. Adrian Grubbs officiating. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery in Kinston, N.C.
She is survived by her husband, Elwood Harper of Deep Run; two daughters, Charlotte King and husband, Warren, of Goldsboro and Vickie Roby and husband, Charles, of Swansboro; a son, Jackie Harper and wife, Chris, of Swansboro; a sister, Irene Smith Howell and husband, Reese, of Goldsboro; a brother-in-law, Everette Harper of Point Harbor, N.C.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2011.
