RICHARD A. BRASWELL

Richard "Rick" A. Braswell, 61, passed away Sunday, Jan. 23, 2011, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Rick was born in Wayne County Feb. 17, 1949, to Ruby Forehand Braswell of Goldsboro and the late Ralph Adrian Braswell.
He worked at Hevi-Duty/Waukesha Electric Systems for 38 years, and later worked with Kearney Hardware Co.
Rick was a member of Harvest Fellowship Church, and had a great love for the outdoors, which included hunting and fishing.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2011, at 3 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park, with the Rev. Pete Norris officiating.
In addition to his mother, Rick is survived by his wife of 43 years, Gloria Neal Braswell; his son, Alan Braswell of Raleigh; his daughter, Amy Wiley and husband, Shaun, of Goldsboro; and the "apple of his eye," his grandson, Gavin Wiley. He is also survived by his brothers, Ronald Braswell and wife, Sharon, of Goldsboro and Bill Braswell and wife, Barbara, of Silida, Calif.; his sister, Phyllis Smith and husband, Kenneth, of Goldsboro; his mother-in-law, Mae Neal of Goldsboro; and his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Donna and Tim Davis of Goldsboro.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at 215 Gurley Dairy Road in Pikeville.
