Esther Martin Dudley Sasser, 87, of 881 Oakland Church Road, Princeton, died Tuesday evening at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 10, 1923, and was the daughter of the late Jacob Arthur Martin and Addie Holt Martin. She was the widow of the late Dewey R. Dudley and the late Harry Sasser Jr. She was also preceded in death by brothers Emmitt, Thurman, Daniel and David Martin and sisters Kizzie Sanders, Julia Odom, Ruth Gurley, Margaret Deaver and Sarah Gurley. Mrs. Sasser was a member of the Princeton Baptist Church. The funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. tonight at the Princeton Baptist Church with the Rev. Dwayne Batten and the Rev. Richard Toler officiating. Committal service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday morning at the Princeton Cemetery.
She is survived by son Lionel Dudley and wife Joyce of Princeton; daughters Pat Howell and husband Ken of Princeton, and Cindy Taylor and husband Rodney of LaGrange; brothers Walter Martin and Stephen Martin, both of Princeton; sister Edna Resor of Davidson; and special family members Jerry and Peggy Ballance.
The family will receive friends beginning at 5:30 p.m. today and immediately following the funeral service at the Princeton Baptist Church.
Although flowers are welcome, contributions to the Princeton Baptist Church Building Fund would be appreciated.
The family is being served by Casey Funeral Home in Princeton.
