DUDLEY -- Mary Ruth Stafford, 88, Dudley, passed away Saturday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
She was the daughter of the late Daniel and Irene Ezzell Guy, and the wife of the late Arthur Wright Stafford.
She was a clerk for Big Star, and was a member of Victory Free Will Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with the Rev. Roy Savage officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service Tuesday evening.
Mrs. Stafford is survived by her sons, Roland W. Stafford of Holly Ridge and David C. Stafford of Dudley; four grandchildren, Robert Stafford, David Stafford, Kathy Stafford and Melissa Wilkins; four great-grandchildren, Heather Stafford, Regina Stafford, Abigail Wilkins and Elizabeth Wilkins; a special daughter, Sharon Bowen of Sheboygan, Wisc.; and a niece, Shelby Parker of Magnolia.
A grandson, Stephen Stafford, preceded her in death.
