NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Davise Joyner, 79, 39 Dewitt St., New Haven, Conn., formerly of Wayne County, died Dec. 28 at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries of Goldsboro, with the Rev. Mary Rowe officiating. Interment will follow in Hooks Grove Church Cemetery.
He is survived by a son, Davon Joyner of New Haven, Conn., his sister, Mary Joyner of Pikeville; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relative and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries of Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends at 172 Booker St. in Pikeville, where they will also assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
