CLINTON "JOE" FORTE
Died Nov. 19, 2010
Deacon Clinton "Joe" Forte, 77, 410 Orange St., succumbed to the master's call Friday at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro, N.C.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda F. Britt.
The triumphant homegoing service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at New Stoney Hill United Holy Church, with Dr. H. E. McNair officiating. Interment will follow in Wayne Memorial Park
He is survived by his devoted wife, Clara Griffin Forte of the home; his children, Joseph Edward Forte of Rocky Mount, Carlton L. Forte, Ruby F. Arrington of Goldsboro and Zena F. McClauglin of Jacksonville, Fla.; his siblings, Robert Forte, Samuel Forte, Minnie Daniels, Shirley Worrell, Trudy Hamilton, Emma L. Fuller of Goldsboro and Joyce Nelson of Charlotte; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 2 to 6 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries of Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends at the residence, where they will assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
