John Hildsman Joyner, 57, died Friday at his residence.
A memorial services will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. The family will remain afterwards to greet friends.
Born in Wilson County, he was the son of the late John Thomas and Eva Wallace Joyner.
Mr. Joyner is survived by a son, Billy Dwayne Joyner of Pikeville; a special adopted daughter, Brittany O'Banion of Pikeville; a sister, Elizabeth Craft of Goldsboro; three brothers, Tom Joyner of Cary, Grady Joyner of Wilson, and William Joyner of Goldsboro.
He was preceded in death by a brother Billy Ray Joyner.
