JOYCE BARROW TAYLOR

Joyce Barrow Taylor, 77, passed away on Monday, Oct. 25, 2010, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by her family.
Joyce was born in Greene County on Aug.13,1933, to the late Samuel Lee Barrow and Nolar Head Barrow. She was married to the late Clifton Earl Taylor. Joyce was a caring, loving mother and grandmother whose primary goal was the happiness and security of her family. She enjoyed working with flowers and in her yard, but got great pleasure in cooking and cleaning her home as it always showed. Joyce attended Free Gospel P.F.W.B. Church.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at 7 p.m. in the chapel at Seymour Funeral Home with the Rev. Rick Ward and the Rev. Carolyn Sims officiating. Interment will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.
Joyce is survived by her daughters, Gail Barnes and husband, Howard of Saulston and Kim Nye and husband, Plummer of Chocowinity; her son, Tony Taylor of Goldsboro; her sisters, Myrtle Heath of Kinston, Evangeline Naylor of Goldsboro and Jean B. Newsome of Wilmington; her brothers, Rayford Barrow of Snow Hill, Desmond Barrow of Pikeville and Ronald Barrow of Snow Hill; her grandchildren, Chad Barnes and wife, Renee, Tracy Holland and wife, Christal, Beth Hampton and husband, Alan, Tiffany Miller and husband, Jason, and Travis Taylor and wife, Megan; and six great- grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Hodges Barrow and Wiley Barrow; and her sister, Bertha Mae Head.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be given to Kitty Askins Hospice Center at 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, NC 27534
The family will receive friends Tuesday following the service and other times at the home of Gail and Howard Barnes, 457 Saulston Road, Goldsboro.
