SARAH VIRGINIA IRENE BENNETT CARLTON
Sarah Virginia Irene Bennett Carlton was born Oct. 1, 1921, in the Saulston area of Wayne County.
She was the 11th of 13 children, and was reared in a Christian home with loving parents and siblings.
She was joined in holy matrimony to the late Euria James Carlton. They were married for 61 years, and raised 10 children.
She greatly loved her family and friends, but loved her relationship with God the most. She was a prayer warrior, reader and doer of the word. Until God called her home, she was a prayer intercessor for many people, including her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and, yes, strangers on the street. Her children would often hear her at different times of the day and night praying and praising God.
She leaves her legacy of faith, family and service, and will be solely missed.
