Carl Wooten, 80, 108 Donaldson Drive, passed away at Sunday the Veterans Hospital in Durham.
He was born April 13, 1930, to the late Herman and Maude Cox Wooten.
Mr. Wooten was preceded in death by a daughter, Carlene W. Smith.
He is survived by a daughter, Vantina Sharmaine Wooten of the home; a grandson, Carlos Wooten of Goldsboro; a devoted and beloved friend, Doris A. Bryant of Mount Olive, a sister, Rosa Raiford of Goldsboro; and four great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held Thursday, Oct. 7, from 3 to 7:30 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel, with the family present from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 8, at 2 p.m. at St. Mark Disciples of Christ in Goldsboro, with bishop Alton Smith officiating. Interment will be in Barnes Cemetery.
