KINSTON -- Joseph Peterson Harris, 54, 308 E. Grainger Ave., died Wednesday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.
Funeral was Monday at 2 p.m. at Christian Fellowship Center in Browntown, with bishop Charles White officiating. Burial was in Dunn's Cemetery in Kinston.
He was the son of Bertha Williams and Andrew Harris of Kinston.
He is survived by two daughters, two sons and four stepdaughters.
Visitation was held Monday from noon to 2 p.m. at the church.
Arrangements are by Herring Funeral Care and Cremations in Fayetteville.
