NONAL LEE PETTIT

MOUNT OLIVE -- Nonal Lee Potter Pettit, 81, died Friday.

Services will be at 6 p.m. today at Tyndall Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Massey and the Rev. Kelvin Gurley officiating. Visitation will immediately follow the service. At other times, the family will receive at the home of Alicia P. Clemens at 394 Thunder Swamp Road, Mount Olive. Mrs. Pettit will be buried on Monday in Maplewood Cemetery following an 11 a.m. committal.

She attended the Mount Olive Church of God of Prophecy Worship Center for as long as her health allowed. A long-time resident of the Garner's Chapel community, she had, in prior years, been employed with Young Squire Industries and was a homemaker.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy P. and Larry Fister of Greensboro; a son, Gary Pettit of the home; four grandchildren, Alicia Pettit Clemens and husband, Daniel, of Mount Olive, Michael Pettit and special friend, Trisha Rosales of Dudley, Trey Fister and fiancee, Jessica Hood of Asheville, and Stephanie Fister of Greensboro; five great-grandchildren, Alexis Pettit, Ava Fister, Jackson Fister, Olivia Fister, and Lillian Fister; a sister, Sudie B. Lee of Mount Olive; a brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Sadie Potter of Mount Olive; and two other sisters-in-law, Emma Potter of Dudley, and Shirley Potter Freeman of Kinston.

Mrs. Pettit was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde T. Pettit; a son, J.T. Pettit; a grandson, Mitchell Pettit; her parents, Brownie and Dora Moody Potter; a sister, Mae Belle Royall; and two brothers, Lionel Potter and Vernon Potter.

Mrs. Pettit passed away at Mount Olive Care and Rehabilitation Center, and her family wishes to convey to its staff, their heartfelt thanks for the support, love, and care extended to Mrs. Pettit and to them during her stay there.
