STEDMAN -- Joseph George, 80, 6775 Maxwell Road, formerly of 253 Bartlett Road in Bowden community in Warsaw, died Wednesday morning at home surrounded by family.
Funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Moses Chapel Church of Christ in Faison, with bishop Chester Aycock officiating and elder Kendall Clark presiding. Burial will be in George Family Cemetery in Warsaw.
He was born in Johnston County, son of the late Sylvester George and Ardella Stanley George. He was married to Inetta Williams George.
He is survived by two sons and four daughters.
Visitation will be Saturday one hour prior to the service at Moses Chapel Church of Christ.
The family will also receive visitors at 253 Bartlett Road in the Bowden community.
Rhodes Funeral Home Inc. is handling the arrangements.
