MOUNT OLIVE -- Claude Thomas Hare, 72, 140 Maysville School Road, died Tuesday at home.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Tyndall Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tim Strickland officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.

Mr. Hare had been a truck driver for all of his working life, with his last place of employment being Cashwell & Jones Seed Service of Mount Olive.

He was a member of Jones Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church.

He is survived by his wife, Katherine W. Hare of the home; two sons, James Lacy Hare of Mount Olive and Thomas Leland Hare of South Carolina; two daughters, Elsie Kay Capps of Fuquay-Varina and Deloris Brickhouse of Four Oaks; a sister, Joyce Ann Perkins of South Carolina; nine grandchildren, including Lauren Haley Blackmon of the home; and nine great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, and at other times at 126 Maysville School Road (home of James Lacy Hare).
