ALLIANCE -- John Walter Edmundson, 80, died Saturday at Carolina East Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Bryant Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Penny Dollar Farmer officiating.
He is survived by his wife, Marceile Edmundson; three sons, Walt Edmundson of Alliance, Mark Edmundson of Greenville and Neil Edmundson of Stonewall; a brother, Keith Edmundson of Fremont; two sisters, Eleanor Gooding of Pikeville and Laurie Andrews of Creedmore; and two grandchildren, Adam Edmundson and Christina White.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Alliance United Methodist Church, c/o Earl Spencer, 999 Campen Road, Bayboro, N.C., 28515, or Pamlico County Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 302, Bayboro, N.C., 28515.
Arrangements are by Bryant Funeral Home and Cremations in Alliance.
