Thomas Belton Jr., 304 Oleandar Ave., Apt. A, passed Saturday at 7 p.m. at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Better known as Junior, Thomas' final wishes were to be cremated without a memorial service.
He is survived by three daughters, Vickey Wilson of Goldsboro, Andrea and David (son-in-law) Simmons and Tracey J. Belton of Savannah, Ga.; three grandchildren, Michelle Celeste Wilson, Margita Wilson and David Simmons Jr.; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Ayars of Goldsboro and Barbara Pratt of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a bother, Juan Davis of Atlanta, Ga.; and his nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank St. Mark Church family, Bishop Smith and the extended family, the Pembertons, for all their support and prayers for our dad and family.
The care and devotion from Kitty Askins Center, Wayne Memorial Hospital's seventh floor and Britthaven Center will never be forgotten.
The family will receive family and friends Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at 412 Hamilton Drive in honor of our father.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Kitty Askins Center.
Arrangements are by Howell's Funeral Home.
