Mary Jean Cuddington Mooring passed away Saturday at her home.

Funeral service will be tonight at 7 at Pikeville Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, with Dr. Don Sauls officiating. A graveside service will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont.

Mrs. Mooring was born June 29, 1933, in Wayne County to the late Frank Cuddington and Smithie Forehand Cuddington. She was married for almost 51 years to the late Robert Edward Mooring Sr.

For those who knew her, Mrs. Mooring was a loving and faithful wife, mother and grandmother. You could always find her present at any activities her children or grandchildren were participating in.

The love of her life was God, her family and her church. Mrs. Mooring was a member of Pikeville Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, where she had served in many ministries through the years, including Sunday school teacher, member and past president of the ladies auxiliary, deaconess and church secretary.

Mrs. Mooring is survived by her sons, Mark Mooring and wife, Donna, of Goldsboro and Kenan Mooring and wife, Laura, of Pkeville; her daughter-in-law, Robin Riley Mooring of Goldsboro; her sister, Bonnie Bogue and husband, Freddie, of Clinton; her brother, Harold Cuddington and wife, Georgia, of Fremont; and her grandchildren, Trey Mooring, Elizabeth Sutton and husband, Freddie, Meredith Mooring, Micah Mooring, Mical Mooring and Andrew Mooring.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert Edward Mooring Jr., and her brother, Henry Cuddington.

Although flowers are welcome, memorials may be made to Pikeville Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, P. O. Box 910, Pikeville, N.C., 27863.

The family will receive friends following the service and at other times at the home of her daughter-in-law, 208 Plantation Road in Goldsboro.
