Marie Gilbert Glenn, 81, died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at Stoney Creek Original Free Will Baptist Church, with the Rev. Gary Bailey, the Rev. Barry Williamson and the Rev. Johnny Sullivan officiating. Entombment will be in Wayne Memorial Park immediately following the service.
Mrs. Glenn was a native of Cordova, Ala., the daughter of the late Carroll J. Gilbert and Hattie Minor Gilbert.
She retired from Mount Olive College, where she worked as registrar.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, the Rev. Earl H. Glenn of Goldsboro; three daughters, Linda Murray of Ohio and the Philippines, Holly Glenn of Elizabeth City and Jan Benton of Pennsylvania; three grandsons, James Murray, Lt. Matthew Benton, Uinted States Marine Corps, and Mark Benton; and two great-grandchildren, Aidan and Taylor Murray.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
