KENANSVILLE -- Hazel C. Whitman, 79, died Thursday at Duplin General Hospital.
Mrs. Whitman was born in Duplin County on Nov. 21, 1930, to the late James Thomas and Lena Mae Maready Chambers.
She is survived by three sons.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the late George S. Whitman, and a daughter.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Community Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the service in Devotional Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Community Funeral Home.
