PIKEVILLE -- Charles Henry Williams, 86, passed away on Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Charles was born in Wayne County on Nov. 5, 1923, to the late Charlie Williams and Cora Vann Williams. He was married to the late Marie Hawley Williams and to the late Dorothy Overman Daniels. Charles was a farmer in the Pikeville Community. He attended Pikes Crossroads Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with the Rev. Merrill Davis and the Rev. Paul Rose officiating. Burial will be Sunday at 1 p.m.. in Stoney Creek Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.

Charles is survived by his sisters, Sally Elizabeth Rose of Mount Olive and Mary Lois Williams Harrell of Mount Olive; his brother, Leslie Williams of Goldsboro; his step-daughter, Dorothy Ann Barbour of Pikeville; his step-sons, Shelton Daniels and wife, Gail of Fayetteville, Gary Daniels of Pikeville and Danny Daniels and wife, Pat, of Goldsboro; seven step-grandchildren, Pat Kearney and Jimmy, Thomas Harper and Deana, Jeffrey Daniels and Tania, Karen Daniels, Chris Daniels, Amanda Daniels, and Tyler
Daniels and 10 step-great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Ethel Pridgen and Myrtie Sullivan; and his brother, Harvey Williams.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Pikes Crossroads Pentecostal Holiness Church, 969 N.C. 581 North, Goldsboro, NC 27530.

The family will receive friends Saturday following the service at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at his home.
