MARGARET JONES

June 25, 1924-Oct. 26, 2009

DUDLEY -- Margaret Hinson Jones, 85, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior early on the morning of Oct. 26.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home chapel, with pastor Tom Dorman officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

Born in Duplin County, she was the daughter of the late Chesley and Bertha Faircloth Hinson and was reared in the Grantham area. She was married to the late Daniel Edward Jones.

She was a faithful member of Brogden Chapel Church until her declining health prevented her from being with her church family, whom she loved so dearly.

Mrs. Jones retired from the Wayne County school system as lunchroom manager of Brogden Junior School, where she had worked for more than 30 years.

Mrs. Jones was known for her sincere love and kindness to everyone that she knew and her desire to share her blessings with everyone. She will be missed here on earth, but she is waiting with her Heavenly Father to reunite with all of her loved ones.

Mrs. Jones is survived by her children, Edward Roy and Betty Jones of Dudley, Kaye and Larry Edwards of Dudley and Linda and John Baughman of Dudley; her grandchildren, Dan Jones, Stacey Jones, Michael Edwards and Melisa Bray; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Toby, Lloyd and John of Goldsboro and Rexford of Mount Olive; and sisters, Hazel Jones and Gladys Worley of Goldsboro and Mildred Talton of Granite Falls.

Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her siblings, James Hinson, Earl Hinson, Esther Holland, Alice Williford and Nannie Lee Hudson.

Family members will greet friends tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and other times at the residence.

Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home of Goldsboro is serving the family and online condolences may be directed to www.shumate-faulk.com.
