Leroy Jones had to leave a loving family behind Monday when his time on earth was through. He was a very loving man and will be terribly missed.
His funeral will be held by the graveside at Brock-Talton Cemetery on Fields Road in Pikeville Thursday at 3 p.m.
He was an active member of Pleasant Grove Church until his health declined. He worked many years at Coca-Cola.
He was a simple country man with a good soul and giving heart. He never knew a stranger.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Maggie; their daughter, Sandra, whom he loved more than words; his granddaughters, Lisa, Teri and Nikki, whom he thought were his own children; and his great-grandchildren, C.J., Rachael and Nick, who will always remember his jokes. He was blessed with three wonderful sons-in-laws, Henry, Mark and Scott, whom he entrusted with his precious daughters.
Visitation will be held tonight from 7 to 8:30 at Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont.
