FAISON -- Donald Ray "Monkey" Oates, 61, 217 Junious Lucas Road, died Friday at Pitt Memorial Hospital.
The funeral service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Poplar Grove Missionary Baptist Church of Faison, with the Rev. Willie C. Alford officiating. Burial will follow in Cobb Cemetery in Faison.
He was the son of Faye Mitchell Faison Oates and the late Jessie Oates.
He is survived by his mother; two sons; and two daughters.
There will be a visitation Friday from 1 to 7 p.m. at Rhodes Chapel.
Rhodes Funeral Home of Warsaw is handling the arrangements.
