CLINTON -- Mrs. Sudie Elizabeth Boyette McClenny, 94, of 228 Hamilton Drive, died in Sampson Regional Medical Center Friday, Oct. 16, 2009.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Royal-Hall Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Dwight Dunning and Wayne Weeks officiating. Burial will follow at Clinton Cemetery.

Born in 1915 in Sampson County, Mrs. McClenny was the daughter of the late Jimmy Isaac and Sudie Byrd Boyette. She was a member of the Clinton Pentecostal Holiness Church and a homemaker. She was the widow of Luby McClenny.

She is survived by three daughters, Agnes Hall and husband, David, Mae Bunce and husband, William, and Virginia Pope and husband, George, all of Clinton; two sons, Ellis McClenny and wife, Pauline, of Goldsboro and Wilbert McClenny of Turkey; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Billy McClenny and a grandson, James Melvin.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 p.m. at Royal-Hall Funeral Home and other times at the home of Mae and William Bunce, 316 North Blvd. Clinton, NC 28328.
