LAGRANGE -- Iris Hill Perry, 73, of LaGrange, passed away Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, at her home.
A service of remembrance will be held Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home with the Revs. David Jackson and Jonathan Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
Iris was born Aug. 21, 1936, in Greene County to the late Thurman and Dessie Harrison Hill. She was preceded in death by a son, Nic Peele; and two brothers, Roger and Morris Hill. Iris was a member of Freedom Baptist Church, Goldsboro.
Iris is survived by her husband of 26 years, Raymond Perry; two sons, Bobby Peele Jr. and wife, Wanda, of Pikeville, Mitchell Allen Peele and wife, Gail, of Garner; two stepchildren, Wanda Perry Brinson and husband, Anthony, of LaGrange, Gilbert Ray Perry and wife, Toni, of Denver; sister, Janet Compton of Maysville; and five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home and at other times they will be at the home.
