MELVIN A. WINDERS

SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. -- Melvin Austin Winders, 75, passed away Sunday.
He is survived by a son, Melvin Winders Jr. of Sevierville; grandchildren, Alexandria Winders, Amelia Winders, Lexus Winders, Hallan Haige-Winders and Darien Keenan-Winders; sisters: Margaret Myers of Mount Olive, Rachel Carlton of Warsaw, Ruby Britt of Mount Olive, Grace Johnson of Garner, Betty Jean Walker of Statesville, Maelina Kearney of Stantonsburg, Melba Thompson of Mount Olive, and Geraldine Johnson of Mount Olive; and brother, J.L. Winders of Mount Olive.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alpha Winders; parents, Major and Nettie Winders; sister, Thelma Pate; and brothers, Rodney Winders and Roy Winders.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Atchley Funeral Home in Sevierville.
Atchley Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
